How I’m Planning My Next Trips in 2018 (And Get The Best Deals)

Every year, I find that I have one new year’s resolution to be the same: it is to travel more. Although many may think this is not the most tangible resolution due to factors such as money and time. I am slowly finding different ways to make it happen, and on a budget. You can also read about a previous post on how to earn money while travelling here. If you’re curious to find out how I’m planning my next trips in 2018, continue reading through!I find that one of best ways to an excellent trip is to plan them ahead. If you ask anyone who has travelled with me, I love to plan out itineraries for every trip. If you’re getting worried about this, don’t be! It can either be a very detailed schedule planned out to a T or a vague one to give you some ideas before your holiday. And the best thing about it is that you don’t have to follow it exactly. There could be new things you discover along the way and decide to go for it instead of sticking to your plan, and that’s one of the beauties of travelling. Having said that, there are also many advantages to planning your holiday beforehand. Once you’ve decided on one place (or two… or three) it’s always good to weigh in some options to get the best deals for your holiday. Here are a few secrets I use to find the best deals, and I hope some of these tips are helpful for your next booking!https://www.instagram.com/p/Bbg1TM4Bw-4/?taken-by=joycehadiwibawa1. Use Incognito WindowThis is a trick I use very single time. Flight prices DO increase when a particular route is repeatedly searched, as flight sites want to scare you into thinking you wont get a better deal if you don’t book sooner. Setting your browser to incognito mode will ensure you always get the best flight deals at all times. This is because incognito window allows you to browse the web privately and will automatically erase your browsing history and search history.2. Book at low seasonAnother trick I like to use it to pick the cheapest month to fly on third party flight site such as Skyscanner. The best time to go is usually during low season. This way, you will be able to gauge which dates will get you the cheapest flights to your dream destination.3. Set multi-city stopsIf time isn’t a issue for you and you would like to hit up a couple more stop on vacation, setting multi-city stops may end up being cheaper than a direct round-trip to a destination. This is an option I try to use when time is not a constraint for me, and I end up flying with premium airlines too!https://www.instagram.com/p/BZTkrspBpD7/?taken-by=joycehadiwibawa/4. Look out for Airline specialsAirline such as Cathay Pacific provide some amazing discounts to some many destinations every week. They hold Fanfares every Tuesday, so make sure to sign up to their newsletter to get alerted.5.Download Travel AppsThese can be very helpful in getting the best bargains. Travel apps like Hopper creates a custom calendar to highlight the best and worst times to travel to your chosen destination. Flyr also offer price analysis and track fluctuations (i.e. when is best to fly).6. Last minute hotel bookingsAlthough this may not be aligned with my booking early memo, last minute hotel bookings can also be a great strategy for getting the cheapest prices for more luxurious hotel options. Of course this will may mean that you have to be very flexible with where you stay and book on the day or night of the stay.https://www.instagram.com/p/BYQOWw8Bvs9/?taken-by=joycehadiwibawaMost, if not all of these tips are one I use every time I have been travelling, I hope this post helps you too on your next trip.
